Old Friend
Had lunch with an old classmate just now. We worked in the same building but yet hardly meet up. After the obligatory rounds of update, we started reminiscing the good old days at college. Gosh, can't believe that a good 10 years have whooshed pass just like that since we graduated. Couldn't help to notice that he had aged quite a fair bit, and I guess me too. We asked each other if we were still in contact with the rest, but sad to say, except for a handful, We had lost touch with most of them. Well, it is no wonder though - gone were the days when we were carefree and burden-less. Now, all of us are so bogged down by the reality of everyday life that the social part just have to be sacrificed. There are one or two high-flyers whom we get to read about from the papers, and yet some others seem to have vanished into the air. I guess it shouldn't be too difficult to get hold of everyone, but, oh well, who would want to make that effort? I seriously doubt.
