Mom-in-law
Mom-in-law had this nagging giddiness for like two weeks. Her blood pressure was also see-sawing up and down, and this worried us. You see, she had a history of high blood pressure and had a benign tumour removed from her brain ten years ago. We brought her to several doctors and even to a chinese sinseh for tui-na (acu-massage) but they couldn't find out what was wrong. The medication that was prescribed would only suppress the giddiness for a short while, then it would just return. But the last doctor we consulted (on the second day of CNY) said, after her assessment, that she was still in good a shape, and there was no immediate urgency to send her for thorough check-up. Then early this morning, mom-in-law complained that her giddiness had worsened and her limps felt numb. Without hestitation, KA sent her to the A&E, and the doctor immediately ordered for a scan.
Just now, I got news from KA that mom-in-law has the growth back in her brain, and also suffered a mini-stroke.
I'm worried, dead worried, but there is nothing much that I can do. There isn't more information available now, so we can only wait for the more detail scan tonight. Hopefully *crossing my fingers hard*, the growth is a small one and not malignant.
I'm usually not superstitious, but just can't help to think that this year is a bad year for us. *Sigh*
