What a day !
Today, our office was fumigated during lunch. Was told that a lady on our floor (our neighbour company) was admitted to Centre for Commutable Disease (CDC) for suspected SARS. She was hospitalized in SGH beginning of the month and was discharged 2 days later. Last week, 4 of her colleagues visited her at home. Over the weekend, she developed fever, and was admitted. Her 4 colleagues were quarantined too. I do hope nothing will happen to them.
When you start hearing such things happening to people around you, it sure feels scary. This is the first time the SARS thing gets so close, and indeed it makes me think seriously what will happen if I get it. The other day, I was telling KA jokingly that we should get ready a separate room in case we need to be quarantined. Now, I seriously think we should do that.
Since we had a long lunch break (was told to come back after 2:30pm), all of us went over to a colleague's place to watch VCD. It's Leslie Chueng's last movie called "Inner Space" or something. Quite a scary one though, cos half of the time, we girls were behind our cushions, magazines, etc ! The doctor character that he played sort of portray him in real life. He was a mentally disturbed guy, who had a awful incident which kept haunting him. It drove him to a point of almost committing suicide, but in the end he didn't. Sadly, that did not happen in real life.
On lighter note
, Jayden greeted me cheerfully with open arms when I reached home. His smiles had erased off the unhappy happenings in the day, and definitely brightened me up! Happy also to hear that he woke up at 9plus in the morning (enough sleep means that he's not grouchy) and finish 8 oz of EBM at one go ! How nice to end the day with happy news! Have also taken pictures of Jayden and Jolyne - will put up here when I've time to sort out.
Love my darlings !!!
