Mommy's Day Dinner Part I
We went out for mother's day dinner this evening at Roland's restuarant. Boy, it was packed! So much for SARS. Perhaps everyone has been cooped up too long at home and can't wait for an excuse (celebrate mom's day) to come out. It was a 10 course set dinner. Most dishes were dosed with MSG. OK, I can stand it, but what I can't stand is the bad service. The first few dishes were served super fast - you know, it was as if they were rushing us so that we could make way for the other customers. Come to the 3rd last dish, we waited like 30 minutes, despite making several complaints. The entire dinner lasted 2 hours plus and the kids were restless and grouchy. GGRRRRRRR !!!! Anyway, this would be my first and last time there.
Tomorrow, we will have another celebration lunch with my mom, at the Chinese restuarant @ CCK sports complex. Hopefully, I can have better things to say about the food and service there.
Geez, I'm still meddling with the layout here. Really hopeless in HTML.
