Dad quitted smoking!
The happiest news last weekend was to learnt that dear old Dad had finally decided to quit smoking. Dad had been a smoker long before we were born - that's over 30 years. We had been encouraging, nagging, bugging and threatening him to quit as soon as we were old enough to learn the harm of smoking. However, being a hardcore smoker, to quit the old habit was nowhere near easy. He gave loads of excuses, that puffing relieved the stress of his work, controlled his weight, and even gave bullshit theory that smokers lived longer. Now, first year into his retirement, and 6 months after babysitting his dear grandson (my nephew Jervis), he has - finally - realised that his puffing habit does more harm than good to himself and people around him. With his determination, he had not lighted up a cigarette for the past week. I know it's hard on him, but nevertheless, Dad, I know you can make it!
