Vacation
It's the end of the year again. Sigh. How time flies. I was hoping to do a family vacation before the year ends, but really, I wonder if it is possible at all. I love travelling, but the thought of lugging 2 kids and loads of luggage quite put me off. Bad mother :p. My idea of holiday is to relax, relax and relax, so what's the point of having to fuss around the kids and at the same time incessantly worry about the food, luggages, plane, hotel, itinerary, sleep, illness, weather, etc, etc. The thought of it makes me tired already. BUT at the same time, my body and soul is screaming for a BREAK !!! So how? I do not want to leave the kids home, given a choice. To make it simple, I think any trip beyond 3 days and/or more than 3-hour journey is out of question. Plus, KA hates to drive to Malaysia, so that leaves us not many choices. Maybe Sentosa, Bintan, or a local hotel getaway. Well anything will do.
On the same note, reading about BBC's poll on 50 places to visit in your lifetime makes me wonder if I can even visit half of these places before I die. So far, I've only been to 9 out of 50 (or strictly only 8 because Singapore is where I'm born and live - and whyever is it in the list?). Strangely, UK was left out, maybe because it was conducted by BBC? Well, London is definitely one of my top votes.
In bold are the pathetic few places I've visited before.
