New Layout
This is going to be a quick one as my work is driving me crazy now. As you can see, over the past few days, I have re-decorated my weblog - yet again after a mere 2 months. This layout is impossible without the vast and freely available resources from the internet, so I'm going to give credits here.

The base CSS stylesheet was from the old Book of Styles site. I must have downloaded it like a year ago and left it sitting on my laptop. I decided to make good use of it after searching in vain for a nice 2-column CSS layout. I started with choosing the colour by asking Jolyne to pick a nice one from ColorMatch. As expected, she selected pink. Not that pink is not nice, in fact it was a nice shade of cotton-candy pink, but I'm just stucked in getting out a visually pleasant-looking page with pink. Then I saw this green-and-orange page on Young Parents magazine which looked refreshing and felt so like spring that I decided to 'copy' it. It's funny that I ended up having orange and green, the 2 of my least favourite colours. I used a lot of help from Eric Meyer's Colour Blender which helped to generate 10 in-between colours, but you can get a lot of ideas from this list of colour tools. The polariod-lookalike was learned from The Photoshop Elements Book for Digital Photographers, with some added steps to set the background colour and include the text. In the process of creating the header graphic, I downloaded many fonts from FontMagic, and was delighted to discover much more information beyond fonts at that site. The title now look dull and plain, I think more work need to be done to brighten up it up. This will have to wait till weekend when I have more spare time.

Did I miss out anyone? If you think you deserve to be mentioned, please let me know. And if this page looked haywired on your browser, do let me know too and send me a screenshot. I know it's still far from perfect, but for now, I'm as happy as can be with what I did as a amateur.

** My commenting system BlogSpeak is down and looks like it's going to take quite a while to get back up. Will switch to Haloscan for now. **
