First Quarter Review
Hey, did anyone realise that today is the last day of 2004's first quarter ? Good grief, how time flies. Let's see what we did the last three months ...

  1. Jolyne graduated from her Junior Music Course after 2 years. I think she has a little talent in it, although she's been lazy when it comes to practising. Despite that, she did pretty well in the exam, I must say. Quoting her : I always try my best in everything I do. Wish I have her spirit. After some coaxing and bribing (she asked for an art class), she finally agreed to continue with stage 2 of the music class. I know I'm being pushy, but I really want to develop her interest in music. Let's see how she copes.

  2. Jayden's speech development in the last three months was a relief to me. I know I shouldn't compare, but what vast difference there is between he and Jolyne. I remember Jolyne could recite a few Tang poems by 18 months (yes, no kidding), but Jayden could barely utter a few words at the same age. Well, at last now at 22 months, he has grasped a good list of single-word vocabulary and progressed to his first sentence. Besides that, Jayden also survived 3 falls, one of which cost his two front teeth.

  3. Mom-in-law's episode of hospital stay had taught me a valuable lesson on the importance of good health, and prompted me to sign up 2 new insurance policies.

  4. We visited the zoo, bird park, farm, attempted to watch the fire-crackers, attended 2 SSO concerts, and KA and I went for a movie - woohoo!!!

  5. One major expenditure this quarter was my brand new digital camera. Just realised that I've cut down spending on clothes, shoes and make-ups, and increased expenses on books, food, health products. Sign of ageing?

I shan't look at my resolution 'cos I know I didn't achieve a single thing. I know I suck big time. Bleah.
