Hello from England
Arrived England yesterday morning (UK time). The weather is not as cold as I expected. The air is a little chilly in the morning, and it can get down to 10 degrees when it rains, but so far, I can still get by with a sweater. Looks like I've overpacked with my new coat, but it's always good to pack more than less, I think.
The hotel room is nice but it feels empty. I have to turn on the TV to create some noise in the room, or else it can get quite eerie. The room is on the second level. From the window, I can see a big field. And there really are rabbits! This morning when I woke up, I saw around ten or more rabbits running around. There are also some birds that look like black hens but smaller.
We had Indian food last evening. Pretty nice and authentic, I'd say. It is on the high street called the Yarm, and there are a couple of shops around the area, but most were closed when we finished dinner. I got some magazines from a convenient store to keep myself occupied.
We haven't had the chance to get around the place, but mainly, the place feels a lot like countryside and people are generally relaxed. I can see farms with sheep and horses, and there are plenty of wild flowers along the road too. Today, my colleague will takeover the company's loan car, so hopefully, we can get ourselves familiarise with the place more.
