On Saturday, we went to a place called Dalton Park. It is a outlet shopping mall with branded shops like Next, Rockport, Furla etc. It wasn't as big as the one I went last trip to London, but what I like about it is its huge playground.
This is a sculpture called The Angel of the North that we saw on the way to Newcastle.
Metro Centre, the shopping centre at Newcastle is just HUMONGOUS! I spent 3 hours walking around but only covered less than half of it. I didn’t buy things here because they were expensive. There is a indoor theme park Metroland (picture left) and a small casino too!
Along the road, I can often see stretches of pretty yellow flowers like this. My English colleagues told me that they are grown for oil.
On Sunday, we went to the nearby Middlesbrough town. It is the first time after one week that we had Chinese food in a proper restaurant. Although the food was not fantastic, I enjoyed it very much. I was never so glad to use chopsticks and eat white rice!
Mount Grace Priory is a 600 year-old monestary. We didn’t plan to come here, but my colleague made a wrong turn, and we saw this place. It has a gorgeous garden and a long history.
The rest of the pictures are in my album.
